Apps that don't have backends.

On The Grid, apps run in your browser and talk directly to your vault. No app has a private database holding your data. No app aggregates your behavior. Capability tokens scope each app to a path-pattern in your data — revoke any one and the app is locked out instantly.

How it works

1

Get the browser

The Grid Browser holds your DID, resolves .grid names, and signs capability requests. Or use the Chrome extension.

2

Connect an app

Visit any *.grid address. Approve scopes (e.g., mail:read). Your DID issues a capability token.

3

Use, revoke, switch

Apps see only what you granted. Revoke from the console any time. Switch apps without re-creating accounts.

An open web — your data, your way.
